About Rose
Rose is a lifelong resident of Ewa who truly understands the challenges our community faces every day. Growing up in Ewa, she saw firsthand how neighbors help each other and how much our local spirit matters for the future of our islands.
Her decision to run for office was inspired by the daily reality of traffic gridlock and the rising cost of living that makes it harder for hard-working families to get ahead. She believes Ewa deserves a representative who understands these struggles personally.
Rose brings years of experience from the community, government, and private sectors to the State House. She is dedicated to using her expertise to fight for a better, more affordable future for Hawaii’s next generations and all Ewa families.
Family & Values
Rose Martinez is a devoted mother, wife, and teacher whose life is rooted in Ewa’s community values. Together with her husband, Flor “Mr. Parbangon” Martinez, she has raised their son, Trystan, to value hard work and service. Trystan is a proud graduate of Lanakila Baptist School in Ewa, where Rose previously shared her passion for learning as a science teacher.
For over two decades, Rose has been a tireless advocate for seniors, education, and workers at the state capitol. Her deep commitment to public service grew from her own experiences and the stories of the families she meets every day. Rose continues to fight for a future where hard work is rewarded and every generation in Hawaii can thrive.
Strengthening Caregivers
Rose introduced legislation to bolster the caregiver industry, ensuring Hawaii's families have access to a strong and supported workforce for their loved ones.
Elected in 2022 to represent the hard-working families of Ewa, Rose Martinez has been an active and effective presence in the Hawaii State House. She works tirelessly to deliver real results for the community she calls home.
